Denver Professional Men's Club
The Denver Professional Men's Club, Inc (DPMC) was founded in 1978 and is now boasting its 33rd year in Denver. Our club is filled with history and traditions that our membership has enjoyed for many years. Our goal of our club is to provide an environment and social network for gay men within our community.
Many of our members are long standing members and have participated in our club since its inception 33 years ago. We continue to evolve and grow with the addition of new members every year which in turn allows the club to grow with many diverse professional gentlemen. The gentlemen of DPMC range from all ages as well as various backgrounds and ethnic cultures. This gives our club a very eclectic flavor of members where one can make lifelong friendships and enjoy. With the diversity that the club has to offer, we all have one thing in common we are all Gay and we enjoy sharing our lifes' experiences; where one feels safe and confident within the environment of DPMC.
Each year we hold 11 social events that range from intimate settings to diverse social and public venues that contribute to our community. Our events are an exciting mix that range from Casual to Formal settings with one of our events being a Holiday Gala in December to celebrate the Holiday Season and the year with DPMC. Our events provide one with catered foods from one of the many caterers that we use with in the Gay community, and our bar staff always has exquisite drink choices to satisfy ones taste buds.
The club is governed by an Executive Committee which consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Chairman, Social Chairman, Communication Chairman, Web Chairman, Parliamentarian, and Photo Chairman. All of these positions are volunteer positions and we encourage our members to run for these elected positions. The Executive committee over sees and is responsible for all the inter-workings of the club and its membership that has grown to 195+ members.
The club has annual Dues that are $200.00, and these dues allow the club to fund all of our events and any other expenditure that are associated with the daily workings of the club. We do pro-rate our dues for members that join the club after the first of the year.
To become a member of DPMC you must be invited by a member and attend 3 Events. After attending 3 events you will be encouraged to fill out an application. There is an application fee at the time of applying to DPMC and your name as well as your sponsors will then be published within the Monthly Club Newsletter. Once your name is published, your name is then presented to the membership. We look forward to having you as a member of DPMC.
